Bio

I was born in the family of scientists in Novisibirsk's Akademgorodok. At age of 14 inspired by Eric Berne books I decided to become psychologist. Unfortunately, there was no psychological department at Novosibirsk State University at that moment so I went to Medical University to become a medical doctor psychiatrist and later psychotherapist (in Russia psychotherapist is a medical doctor, but not psychologist).

So during years I was working as a psychiatrist in hospitals (Novosibirsk, Samara, Moscow) at the same time as a psychotherapist in private setting. Moved to Moscow I decided to continue my scientific carrier and during 3 years (2009-2012) I was working as a Senior researcher in Moscow Research Institute of Psychiatry. All my working life I was also studying psychotherapy: transactional analysis (TA), classical cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), body-oriented therapy (BOT) and finally "third wave" CBT - Schema-therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), etc.

One day I understood that I am more practitioner than researcher and shifted totally to private practice as a psychiatrist and psychotherapist. Now I am only working online, by Russian law first consultation of psychiatrist had to be offline obligatory, so now I am not taking new patients as a psychiatrist, only as a psychotherapist and DBT skills trainer.
